Pastor Young  and Sis. Katie were both born and raised in Louisiana. They spent many years serving in youth ministry, including roles as youth pastor and Section 11 youth leaders. They later transitioned to Kansas, where they served faithfully in the local church in Wichita while Pastor Young held the position of Kansas District Youth President for the UPC. They have since been elected as Pastor of Oil City Church, where they now serve alongside their family.
